Toughened Glass

MG1 Glass offer toughened glass from between 4mm and 18mm in depth. The more depth in the glass pane also increases higher levels of sound reduction, so ideal for offices, gyms or restaurants. Toughened glass comes in patterned and several obscurity levels for privacy.

Benefits of toughened glass:

• Toughened glass is safety glass and can be up to five times stronger that standard glass.
• Toughened glass offers some impact resistance, however, if it were to shatter it would break into small and blunter pieces rather than sharp shards of glass.
• Toughened glass is heat resistant, durable and easy to maintain.
• Toughened glass with its safety aspect is versatile as a household commodity. The risk of injury one of its main features.

* Templates will be required for any toughened glass that requires holes, is shaped or has cut-outs.

* Toughened glass is legally required for any low level window or frame where the glazing area falls below 800mm from floor level. Toughened glass must also be used in doors, flag windows and side lights.
